Meet Tessa

Tessa works with the litigation team at Creevey Horrell where she is a strong advocate for her clients. Prior to working in litigation, Tessa worked with the commercial law team at the firm.

Described by her colleagues as having the expertise and legal knowledge to handle matters beyond her years of experience, Tessa is recognised by clients as providing an exceptional level of service and focus. A “people” person, Tessa prioritises building long term relationships with her clients by always delivering quality and timely legal advice.

After working on complex property and commercial matters, Tessa is building her reputation in the Agribusiness sector.

She regularly represents agricultural clients in disputes against neighbouring landholders, resource companies and local councils in relation to water, weed and product claims. She has experience appearing for clients in the Land Court and negotiates with energy and resource companies for clients on conduct and compensation agreements, water agreements and make good agreements.

EXPERIENCE

  • Representing landholders in the Land Court of Queensland in an ongoing dispute with an international resource company

  • Acting for a local agricultural company in relation to the illegal termination of a Water Supply Agreement with the Toowoomba Regional Council and in their extensive negotiations with the Council as to a new Water Supply Agreement

  • Acting for landholders in an ongoing dispute with a supplier of cattle lick not suitable for consumption by cattle

  • Acting for landholders in relation to an ongoing dispute with their neighbour with respect to damage to crop by spray drift
